Ìgbádùn Attendee & Ticketing Policy
Ìgbádùn Weekly · ChopLife Studios
Effective Date: September 2026
Summary for Event Attendees & Ticket Buyers
- Platform role: Ìgbádùn is a discovery and ticketing facilitation platform. We are not the event promoter, host, or venue operator.
- Organiser responsibility: The Event Organiser is solely responsible for organizing the event, fulfilling advertised talent/features, and managing venue safety.
- Non-refundable platform fees: Ìgbádùn's 5% platform convenience fee covers payment gateway processing and software infrastructure and is non-refundable.
- Event cancellations: If an event is cancelled or postponed indefinitely, the Event Organiser is legally obligated to provide a 100% refund of the ticket face value.
- No dissatisfaction refunds: Personal schedule changes, arriving late, or personal dissatisfaction with music, sound, or performers do not qualify for a refund.
- Admission security: Every pass features a unique QR code and reference ID. Passes cannot be duplicated; admission is granted on a first-scanned basis.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Attendee Terms and Ticketing Policy ("Policy") govern your purchase, booking, and use of digital ticket passes, RSVPs, and admission badges on Ìgbádùn Weekly (operated by ChopLife Studios).
By purchasing a ticket, completing a registration, or presenting an Ìgbádùn pass at an event venue in Osun State or elsewhere, you agree to be legally bound by this Policy and the Ìgbádùn Privacy Policy.
2. Role of Ìgbádùn vs. Event Organisers
Like standard ticketing platforms (such as Tix Africa and Eventbrite), Ìgbádùn operates strictly as an independent technology marketplace:
Ìgbádùn facilitates ticket booking, generates secure digital QR passes, and provides payment routing via licensed payment processors (Paystack). We do not produce, staff, curate, or supervise the events listed.
When you purchase a ticket or register for an event, you enter into a direct commercial contract with the specific Event Organiser named on the event listing. The Organiser is solely responsible for fulfilling the event, artist appearances, venue accommodations, schedule accuracy, and attendee safety.
3. Digital Passes & Venue Admission
- Delivery: Digital ticket passes are issued instantly upon successful payment or registration confirmation. Passes are delivered via email and remain accessible on the confirmation page.
- Unique QR Validation: Each pass includes a cryptographically unique QR code and reference identifier (e.g.
IGW-PAY-XXXXXX). Admission bouncers scan this QR code at the door. - First-Scan Rule: Only the first scan of a ticket code will be admitted. Duplicating, sharing screenshots, or forwarding your ticket to multiple parties will result in denial of entry for subsequent attempts. You are responsible for safeguarding your ticket pass.
- Admission Rights: The Event Organiser and venue management retain the right to refuse entry or eject any individual who fails to comply with venue regulations, age restrictions, or security guidelines.
4. Ticket Pricing & Platform Fees
All ticket prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦). Depending on the fee model selected by the Organiser:
- Organiser-Absorbed Fee: The 5% platform fee is deducted from the organiser's payout; the attendee pays the exact face-value price.
- Attendee-Borne Fee: A transparent 5% platform convenience fee is added at checkout to cover payment facilitation, encryption, and verification infrastructure.
- Non-Refundable Fee Policy: The 5% platform fee is strictly non-refundable once a transaction is successfully processed, as the payment gateway execution has been rendered.
5. Cancellations, Postponements & Refund Policy
When Are You Entitled to a Refund?
- The event is cancelled by the Organiser and not rescheduled.
- The event is postponed and you are unable to attend the new rescheduled date within 30 days.
- The event venue is moved to an unreasonable distance from the original advertised city/location.
- Change of personal schedule or inability to attend.
- Personal dissatisfaction with event atmosphere, sound quality, DJ playlist, or crowd size.
- Refusal of entry due to intoxication, failure to present valid ID, dress code violation, or unruly behavior.
- Purchasing the wrong ticket tier or failing to read event guidelines.
To request a refund for a cancelled event, contact the Event Organiser directly using the contact details on the event page. Under the Ìgbádùn Organiser Agreement, organisers are contractually required to respond to attendee refund requests within three (3) business days. If an organiser is unresponsive, notify our compliance desk at events@igbadun.com.ng.
6. Bank Disputes & Chargebacks
Filing an unauthorized or fraudulent chargeback with your bank (alleging non-receipt of pass when a digital pass was delivered) violates this Policy.
If an illegitimate chargeback is initiated, your ticket pass will be instantly voided, you will be permanently barred from purchasing tickets across Ìgbádùn events, and your payment details may be flagged across the NIBSS / Paystack fraud monitoring network.
7. Attendee Conduct & Safety
Attendees must adhere to all venue rules, municipal safety orders, and community standards. Prohibited items (weapons, illicit substances, flammables) are strictly forbidden. Event security reserves the right to conduct routine bag and security checks at the gate.
8. Photography & Media Recording
By attending public lifestyle gatherings, concerts, and festivals listed on Ìgbádùn, you acknowledge that photography, audio recording, and videography may occur. You consent to the potential appearance of your likeness in event recap videos, promotional media, and social media posts published by the Organiser or Ìgbádùn Weekly.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Nigerian law, ChopLife Studios and Ìgbádùn Weekly disclaim any liability for:
- Any personal injury, illness, property loss, theft, or damage sustained at the event venue;
- Any failure of advertised performers, headliners, or exhibitors to appear;
- Any alteration of event schedules, delays, or venue acoustic/climate conditions; and
- Any action or omission taken by third-party venue security, police, or emergency personnel.
In all cases, Ìgbádùn's total liability to any ticket holder shall be strictly limited to the actual platform convenience fee paid by the attendee for the affected ticket.
