Who We Are
Ìgbádùn Weekly is an events discovery and registration platform for Osun State, Nigeria, operated by ChopLife Studios. We help people find events happening across Osogbo, Ife, Ilesa, Ede, and other towns in Osun State, and we help event organisers collect and manage attendee registrations.

This policy applies to everyone who uses igbadun.com.ng, including visitors, event attendees who register for events, event organisers who create accounts, and anyone who signs up for our newsletter or WhatsApp channel.
The Data We Collect
If you browse the website
We do not require you to share any personal data to browse our events listing. Standard web server logs may record your IP address and browser type for security purposes.
If you register for an event
When you register for a free event on Ìgbádùn Weekly, we collect:

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the registration service. We do not collect your date of birth, home address, payment details (all events are currently free), or any government identification numbers.
Event organisers may add their own questions to the registration form for their specific event (for example, dietary requirements for a food event, or T-shirt size for a sports event). Any custom questions will be clearly identified as set by the organiser. The organiser decides whether each custom question is required or optional, and this will be clearly marked on the form. Custom question responses are shared with the event organiser only and are not used by Ìgbádùn Weekly for any other purpose.
If you create an organiser account
When you sign up as an Event Organiser, we collect:
- Full name and organisation name
- Email address and phone number
- Password (stored encrypted — we never see it in plain text)
If you sign up for our newsletter
We collect your email address only.
Why We Process Your Data and Our Legal Basis
Under the NDPA 2023, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Here is our basis for each type of processing:

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data only for the purposes stated above. Specifically:
For attendees:
- To generate and send your ticket confirmation and QR code
- To enable check-in at the event
- To produce anonymous post-event analytics for the event organiser (gender split, age ranges, location spread, discovery sources — never identifiable to individuals)
- To send you Igbadun Weekly marketing communications including our weekly events digest, WhatsApp broadcasts, and social media retargeting — where you have given consent to this at the point of registration
For organisers:
- To manage your account and the events you create
- To send you registration notifications and post-event reports
- To communicate with you about your events on the platform
For newsletter subscribers:
- To send you our weekly events digest
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not share your identifiable data with third parties except as described below.
How Long We Keep Your Data

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting events@igbadun.com.ng. We will process your request within 30 days.
How We Protect Your Data
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data:
- All data is stored on Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and secure access controls
- Passwords are never stored in plain text — we use Supabase Auth's secure hashing
- Access to the admin dashboard and organiser accounts is protected by authenticated login
- We apply Row Level Security (RLS) on our database so organisers can only access data for their own events
- We do not transmit sensitive data over unencrypted connections
While we take these steps seriously, no internet transmission is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) as required by the NDPA.
Your Rights Under the NDPA 2023
As a data subject under Nigerian law, you have the following rights:
Right to be informed — You have the right to know what data we collect and how we use it. This privacy policy fulfils that obligation.
Right of access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure — You can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it.
Right to restrict processing — You can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
Right to object — You can object to our processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interest as our legal basis.
Right to data portability — You can request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to withdraw consent — Where we rely on your consent (e.g. newsletter), you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpb.gov.ng.
